Wow, what a crazy year 2008 was. I was looking at the Chinese Zodiac today (don't ask) and found a site that said my 2008 was going to be only 42% (4 favorable, 1 neutral and 7 unfavorable months). Had I known this early in 2008 I probably would have been prepared at least a little bit. Honestly, I've got nothing to complain about. I am so fortunate it's ridiculous.
That being said, 2008 did kinda suck. So, here is the good and the bad...
The Bad:
1. I changed jobs in July. Not that this was awful but it might not have been the best decision I've ever made. The new job is getting better but I miss my peeps at FCS.
2. Boys that make no sense at all. They say it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. I'm not so sure about that right now.
3. Too much responsibility at the skating club. I started skating for me and I kind of forgot that in 2008, now it's all about everyone else.
4. I'm having some health issues that make me moody and not feel so well. For someone who is normally very even keeled this is extremely frustrating.
The Good:
1. Adult Nationals in Lake Placid. I love LP and had a blast with all of my skater girls skating and singing Total Eclipse of the Heart!
2. The Olympics were on! I LOVE THE OLYMPICS! Maybe it's sad that something like this is in the good column but it was THAT good for me.
3. I've lost 20 lbs! That is awesome.
4. Cruising the Caribbean over Halloween. I met some awesome people and had a great time despite some bad weather. Although this did provide #2 in the bad column, the good still outweighs the bad and even the bad was good for awhile. Plus I had the best costume!
5. Planning for Adult Nationals is going pretty well. There is a lot to be done in 2009 but we have a great start.
6. I flew to Florida to visit my sister in late August and just spent a week there over Christmas!
Hmmm...I'm realizing a trend in the "good" column, most of it is about traveling. Interesting. Maybe I need to win the lottery and spend all of my time traveling the World!
Here's to 2009!
